Are Vinyl Wall Decals easy to install?
Vinyl Wall Decals are very easy to install. All of our decals come with installation instructions that are easy to follow. Also, shortly we will have installation videos under our instructions section for our customers to see wall decals being installed just like you were there.

Will wall decals work on textured walls?
While wall decals will be a bit more tedious to install on textured walls, they will absolutely work and look great. Textured wall installation requires a bit more patience than if you were installing the decal on a flat wall.

When I remove the decals, will it damage my walls?
While we cannot say for certain, that no the decals will not damage your wall, we can say that 99% of the time your wall will be perfectly fine after removal. There may be certain instances, especially if you order a gloss color as opposed to a matte color, when some touch up work might be needed after removal.

I have newly painted walls, how long should I let the paint dry before installing?
We recommend waiting 2 weeks after painting before installing any of our wall decals.

How are vinyl wall decals made?
Each of The Custom Vinyl Shop's wall decals / macbook decals are made to order, and are cut from large vinyl pieces. The designs are literally cut out on the vinyl, and the excess material is removed. All that is left is your finished decal!

Are vinyl wall decals re-usable?
Unfortunately no. The Custom Vinyl Shop uses only the highest quality vinyl to create your masterpieces. After the decals are removed they will no longer have enough adhesive to be able to stick to another wall.

How long does international shipping take?
We ship all of our International orders via United States Postal Service. First Class International is the most cost-effective method, however it can take anywhere from 1-5 weeks for delivery. Priority International is also an option, and is said to take between 6-10 business days for delivery. Please keep in mind that both of these time frames may or may not include delays caused by your country's customs department. If you need a faster delivery method, please contact us for private courier options.

My decal came very wrinkled and rolled up, is it useable?
The answer is yes! Lay your deal on a flat surface for 24 hours. You can speed up the process by laying some books on it. It is okay and normal for the application paper to be wrinkled; as long as your decal has no visible creases the decal is fine.

What if part of my decal will not come off the backing?
This is an easy fix. You need to lay the decal onto a flat surface and rub very hard over the entire decal, using the application tool provided. You can check the decal by slowly peeling back the application paper. If there is still pieces stuck, repeat. You can even give it a little boost by helping it release from the backing with your finger nail.

I cannot get the decal to stick to parts of the wall, what am I doing wrong?
First make sure that your wall is dry! Otherwise you just need to rub over the decal harder and use a lot of patience when peeling back the application paper. You can trim the application paper off once parts are on the wall. This helps prevent it sticking back to the decal. (A side note) if you have recently painted you need to wait 3 weeks before trying to apply the decal.

Does the amount of time that I've had a decal matter when applying it to the wall?
No, our decals do not have a shelf life. If you plan on storing them for future projects, try to store them somewhere flat. If this cannot be done just make sure to give them time to lay flat before trying to apply them to the wall.

Do I need to wait to take off the application paper once I've placed the decal on the wall?
No, There is no need to wait. As long as you have burnished the surface the decal will stick.
